Going for a walk?

If you are going for a walk today you should go to the Olympic Park in Stratford. When you have walked around for a bit you should have a deserved rest on one of the benches. Now as you are enjoying the fresh air turn around and enjoy the Fantastic Factololgy project: A number of benches distributed throughout the Park now display plaques describing a selection of the collected facts. These nuggets of knowledge, from astrology to zoology, have been collected from the broad experience of the local community and global specialists from a variety of fields. They are statements to excite, bewilder, inform and inspire. And are you thinking who designed these beautiful plaques? Well it is of course Europa, previous Poundshoppers in Poundshop 3. The Fantasticology project is a series of interventions in the Park, including Fantastic Factology, planting designs for wild-flower meadows in the south-east corner of the Stadium island and distinctive entrances to The Greenway at Wick Lane and Canning Town. Fantastic Factololgy was made by a team of local artists and designers, The Klassnik Corporation, Riitta Ikonen and 
We Made That, have been commissioned by London 2012 to develop a family of landscape features in the Olympic Park. They have been working in collaboration with the Olympic Delivery Authority’s (ODA) Arts and Cultural Strategy and Landscape and Public Realm teams.
