We are very excited to announce that The Garage Sale is back! This time, we are hosted by Downstairs at Mother in the heart of Shoreditch.
The Garage Sale is a carefully curated shop full of products made by over 40 independent designers from all over the UK. With prints from Marylou Faure and Tom Pigeon, beautiful stationary from Wrap Magazine and jewellery from Kate Trouw and Uribe.
This store offers you a selection of creations from past seasons, returns or unique work in progress at a lower price. It is an amazing opportunity to get your hands-on rarely available goods from some of your favourite designers and artists all under one roof. Prices range from £1 up to £100.

Rubbish Portraits by Lucie Sheridan
‘Rubbish Portraits’ is a live art experience. It looks and feels just like a typical photo booth, however when you slide the curtain and enter the booth.. you see Lucie, instead of reflection of yourself who offers very quick, (3-4 mins) while-you-sit, brush and ink portraits - they’re not rubbish but actually very good! It’s Lucie’s version of the familiar photo booth, but far more exciting and unique…just remember…no smiling please.

You will be able to choose from a selection of cards from Scout Editions own range and customise you envelopes with decorative stamps.

Saturday 30th November:
Make your own paper chandelier (pajaki) with Karolina Merska.
Pajaki (pah-yonk-ee) are traditional Polish chandeliers made from rye straw and paper. Their history dates back to the mid-18th century. During the workshop Karolina will teach you how to create a pająki structure which later will be decorated with 5 traditional “kalinka” pom poms. “Kalinka” pom pom is made of 15 layers of hand twisted tissue paper. By the end of the day you will have learnt some new unique skills and be able to take a beautiful, colourful pajaki with you to decorate your home for Christmas.

Using pre laser cut geometric shapes you can create any face you like, your own, a loved one, your pet, the one that haunts your dreams.
